Delivery and Pickup Policy
DELIVERY
Some of our products require specific handling and specialized equipment. For example, transporting multiple glass panels weighing 150 lbs each or a pergola with components up to 16 feet long.
For these reasons, Habitat Verre generally handles the delivery of its products using its own equipment. However, in certain areas, delivery is handled by a specialized external service.
Glass panels can be delivered:
- Upright on a steel rack ($150 deposit).
- Horizontally on a wooden pallet ($30 deposit).
- On two planks , leaning against a wall or a rigid structure (free of charge).
Habitat Verre cannot be held responsible for any damage to the delivered goods or the customer's property. Liability transfers as soon as the products are unloaded and deposited at the agreed location.
The delivery rate depends on the shipping address's postal code and the total order amount. The price charged may be adjusted before delivery. If this is the case, we will notify you.
Habitat Verre and the customer will agree on a delivery appointment within a time slot (morning, afternoon, evening or weekend).
The customer, whether individual or professional, must ensure that a representative is present upon receipt to verify the condition, quantity, and accuracy of the delivered products. In the event of absence, the order will be left as close to home as possible and will be considered complete and in perfect condition.
A waiting fee of $100/hour will apply after 15 minutes of delay.
COLLECTION
The customer can collect their order free of charge at the following address:
115 Rue Principale W., Local 7, St-Paul-d'Abbotsford, J0E 1A0.
An appointment is required to ensure the order is ready.
The customer must inform Habitat Verre of the means of transport used in order to validate that it is suitable (van, trailer, large SUV, etc.). The customer must also provide sufficient ratchet straps as well as protective equipment (cardboard boxes, moving blankets).
Habitat Verre is not responsible for securing goods, although its staff may occasionally provide advice. Furthermore, Habitat Verre does not load glass into vehicles. If an employee assists the customer, Habitat Verre cannot be held responsible for any damage.
Glass panels are usually prepared in advance:
- Upright on a steel rack ($150 deposit).
- Horizontally on a wooden pallet ($30 deposit).
Habitat Verre will place the rack or pallet in or near the customer's means of transport. If the customer does not wish to use the rack or pallet, manual loading is possible for a fee of $30 .
Depending on availability, Habitat Verre can provide a trailer for the customer. To reserve a trailer, please visit our website.
