Shipping and Pickup Policy

DELIVERY

Some of our products require specific handling and specialized equipment. For example, the transport of multiple glass panels weighing 150 lb each, or a pergola with components up to 16 feet long.

For these reasons, Habitat Verre generally handles the delivery of its products using its own equipment. However, in certain areas, delivery is carried out by an external specialized service.

Glass panels may be delivered:

  • Vertically, on a steel rack ($150 deposit).
  • Horizontally, on a wooden pallet ($30 deposit).
  • On two planks, leaned against a wall or a rigid structure (no charge).

Habitat Verre cannot be held responsible for damages occurring to the delivered merchandise or to the customer's property. The transfer of responsibility takes place as soon as the products are unloaded and set down at the agreed location.

The delivery rate depends on the postal code of the shipping address and on the total order amount. The price invoiced may be adjusted before delivery. If applicable, we will inform you beforehand.

Habitat Verre and the customer will agree on a delivery appointment within a time window (morning, afternoon, evening or weekend).

The customer, whether an individual or a professional, must ensure that a representative is present at reception in order to verify the condition, quantity and accuracy of the products delivered. In case of absence, the order will be left as close as possible to the entrance and will be considered complete and in perfect condition.

Waiting fees of $100/hour apply after 15 minutes of delay.

PICKUP — St-Alphonse-de-Granby Warehouse

The customer may pick up their order free of charge at the following address:
301-3008 rue Brodeur Ouest, St-Alphonse-de-Granby, Quebec J0E 2A0

An appointment is required to ensure that the order is ready.

The customer must inform Habitat Verre of the means of transport used so we can confirm it is appropriate (pickup truck, trailer, large SUV, etc.). The customer must also bring a sufficient number of ratchet straps as well as protective materials (cardboard, moving blankets).

Habitat Verre is not responsible for securing the load, even though our staff may occasionally provide advice. In addition, Habitat Verre does not load glass inside vehicles. If an employee assists the customer, Habitat Verre cannot be held responsible for any damage.

Glass panels are generally prepared in advance:

  • Vertically, on a steel rack ($150 deposit).
  • Horizontally, on a wooden pallet ($30 deposit).

Habitat Verre will place the rack or pallet inside the customer's means of transport or close to it. If the customer does not wish to use the rack or the pallet, manual loading is available for a $30 fee.

Subject to availability, Habitat Verre can provide a trailer to the customer. To reserve a trailer, please contact us directly.
